Tuscany is one of the most famous tourist destination in Italy. It is reputed for numerous word famous architectural and art pieces mostly from the Renaissance period, as well as for its kitchen and excellent wines.

BEAUTIFUL BEACHES

Within 20 min. by car you can reach the Etruscan Riviera. Beautiful wide sandy beaches but also steep cliffs await you there. Beaches in Baratti Populonia and in Bolgheri Oasis with the moving dune (16 m high) are also worth seeing.

HIKING

You will find perfect condition for hiking in the closest environment of Casaglia. More far south, going by car, you can discover natural parcs "Parco forestale di Poggio Neri" and "Parco naturale della Maremma". In Venturina you should see the hot sources and in Populonia a medieval castle on a cliff. Suvereto is another village surrounded by oak forest, vineyards and olive yards. You may also wish to discover the famous "Strada del vino".

BIKING

If you are fond of biking, you will find here a perfect network of roads amid the Tuscan landscape (with the possibility of renting mountain bikes on place).

HORSE RIDING

You can go horse riding (even on the beach) in the centers "Cavallino Matto" in Marina di Castagneto and "Centro Ippico" in Marina di Bibbona.

From Tenuta di Casaglia, you can easily visit the historical Tuscan cities such as: Florence (1 and a half hour by car), Lucca, Siena (1 hour by car), San Gimignano (45 min. by car), Pisa (45 min. by car), Volterra, Livorno on the sea (30 min. by car). The country of Chianti is also worth seeing. You may discover Italian trading places, participate in the local traditional feasts as the famous horse raise "Palio" in Siena, "Maggio Musicale" in Florence or colorful feasts in small villages.
